Super Cereal



Ingredients:


  • 2 1/4 cup uncooked oat groats (buckwheat preferable for grain-free)
  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup uncooked amaranth
  • 1 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup raw sesame seeds

Directions:

(makes 5.75 cups - 23 servings at 1/4 cup each) & only about 150 calories and you get 6g protein and 6g fat per serving!


  1. Combine ingredients
  2. Store in a container - a glass jar works perfectly!
  3. Cook two servings at a time: 1.5 cups of water to a half cup of dry cereal (put leftovers in fridge for next day, makes for easy meal prep)
  4. Simmer in a small pot for 20 minutes partially covered with lid, stirring occasionally
  5. (optional) in the last few minutes of cooking, stir in frozen or fresh berries, mint, or other fresh ingredients
  6. Top and enjoy! - I like adding fresh fruit, grass-fed plain yogurt, raw local honey, and bee pollen to mine
