Just like my monkey toast, the upgraded PBJ is a great snack or quick breakfast.
Swapping strawberry slices for jam, you get a fresh twist on the classic combo. Because the berries are naturally sweet, you're also not adding yucky processed sugars to your body or waistline - and you're getting all the benefits of fresh fruit!
Ingredients:
- Toast, sprouted preferable (I like Food For Life Ezekiel Sprouted Sesame Bread, but you can also choose a gluten free bread)
- Your favorite nut or seed butter (I love chunky almond butter)
- Freshly sliced strawberries
Tip: you can even top with basil for a spring and summer feel, yum!
